Competitions

Do EC's need to hold comps, or can you not bother to hold comps at all?, I am so sick and
tired of my comps not running that I think my EC would be better off not holding any, I am not bothered about rankings, so if my EC went down, I don't care.

You can choose to stop hosting competitions, there is nothing wrong with that. It will mean your competition prestige for your EC will go down to 0% which will of course affect the overall prestige, but if this is something that doesn't bother you, then you're free to ignore the EC competitions side & play the game / manage your EC however you want to.

If, however, you would like some advice with getting your EC competitions to run a bit more regularly, you have one of two options available to you.

Option 1: Rosette competitions
I have noticed your rosette-level show-jumping comp runs very regularly, and I reckon once your other high-difficulty comps reach rosette-level, they will start to run by themselves also. Your gallop competition is very close, it only needs to run once more to get over 75% prestige and start offering rosettes.

To achieve this, I've shamelessly copied the following advice from the Capall Stables EC page, credit goes to CapallConnemaras for this:

"Set [your competitons] for horses with more than 20 wins, then there are 2 options:
1. Set the difficulty level so your 2 best horses can enter and enter them every time it opens, gradually increasing the difficulty as you get better horses. You will get small increases in prestige more frequently assuming you continue to gain higher skilled horses.
2. Set the difficulty at about 80% and wait, the competition will not run often until it gets a rosette but you will get a bigger jump in prestige each time it does run."

Option 2: Rookie competitions
Second option, if you're not bothered about hosting rosettes, is to set the difficulty low and reserve them for low-level horses. This is something I do on other servers when I don't want to aim for the best EC possible. The competitions will usually run quite often, as they will be ideal for low-GP horses that are being blupped, and you will earn 500e every time it does run, which makes up for some nice equus on the side.

Of course if you prefer to terminate your comps altogether, that's also a viable option and ultimately the choice is yours.

Thank you for that Anarky, it has been a great help, I will keep my comps open and see how they do. Locking.
