Our developers have something to tell you! Every three (3) weeks, our devs will provide you with information about their work in the “Dev’s Corner.”

This publication is a way of keeping everyone updated on what’s happening with the game. We invite you to discuss and leave your feedback for each of the publications.

Note: All posts must adhere to the forum guidelines and be constructively made.

Take a look at our very first Devs' Corner publication!

Warm wishes,

I take back what I said about the mobile update - at least with the old one, I could view horses skills and stuff - and rearrange the horses in the sales!

Not sure if this has been raised as of yet, but the notification alert for when your Equestrian Centre's workshops current production finishes has stopped working. It's only a little thing, but really helps forgetful people like me.

When adding BMI to a horse, is there any way you can add back how many items we actually have of a particular item. So frustrating to only see "1" as you don't know if its your last one or not.

Fully agree, previous layout with number of items was much better.

Also it seems when using Zeus' Lightning Bolt you can no longer see the horse's current gender on the application page. At least once before this change I have mistakenly Bolted the wrong foal in the past, while on sleep-deprived autopilot, and then had to use another Bolt to correct it. Having the current gender displayed helped me easily be absolutely certain I was applying to the correct horse. Seems much more likely to result in mistakes now, since I must remember to return to the individual horse's page to double check before trusting myself to hit the use button.

So again no fix to the lag, only to minor, easy things that people aren't as worried about. Take the easy option why don't you.... may aswell not do an update this time as nothing of meaning has been changed.

Not sure if it's just me, but clicking my browser's back button to return to the page of a horse I've already performed actions with reloads that horse in the same state it was in at the beginning of the initial visit to its page and not in the state I actually left it in at the end of that initial visit, if that makes sense.

When I click the vet pop-up to have a mare give birth, name the foal on the naming page and get sent to the new foal's page as normal, and then click the back button twice to go back to the mare's page to continue caring for her she seems to have just woken up again and the vet pop-up appears even though she has already had the foal. Calling the vet a second time just redirects me to the "My horses without a breeding farm" tab, since the foals were born the first time.
Same with actions, if I wake up, care for and bed a horse, go to any other page and then use the back button to go the horse again, it appears completely untouched.
Also clicking the back button to check my points progress on my current Holy Grail mission after completing related tasks shows the number of points I had before, and not the updated amount.
Using the back button to return to the competition entry page after entering one will also still show the competition I've just entered still available and trying to enter again with the same horse pulls up an error message.
It is only until I refresh the page that all actions already completed are actually registered and greyed out, Holy Grail points are accounted for, competitions previously entered are removed from the list, etc.

Using the back button definitely used to load pages updated to the very last state I left them in. Only started doing this today, but I can't see an obvious reference in the update log, so unsure whether this is an issue on my end and not worth bothering Contact Us for an explanation? Slows me down slightly having to refresh pages/remember what I've already done, but understandable if it's a move towards a faster site. default smiley (8)

I'm seeing the same behaviour that you are plus

Work a horse
Go to the next horse and work that one
Press back button, first horse shows as not yet cared for
Press forward button, second horse will also show as uncared for

Can't say I've ever really used the back and forward buttons before so can't compare with how they used to behave, I use toolbar bookmarks to navigate between areas.

No, it's not just you - same here and I'm 'not amused' about it, to phrase it in HM's politely manners. default smiley (o)

I honestly can't believe you have a team of developers that in three weeks have managed to do 5 changes and no word on the lag either.
If anything the more updates we get the more broken the game becomes.
What is going on? Have you had a senior developer leave the team and now everyone else is too scared to change the code because they're not familiar with it or something?

Not just a lag, but half the time the lesson button refuses to work, the water button gives you the white page of death or takes me back to the "all the horses" page instead of the horse I was sorking one, and it STILL STILL takes such a long time for any entry to go into a comp that I could make a cup of coffed between each entry!

I shouldn't have listened... I shouldn't have listened...default smiley :o

I rushed out, full of optimism, and started a 'daytime' BLUP (something i now never bother with during 2021...).... Only to have my hopes dashed against the rocks of Lagginess....

Took me five minutes just to do foal games, so parked it and will do later default smiley (d)

IT'S STILL THERE.... default smiley :s

I don't see the point in doing maintenance if it has made no difference to the lag. Those updates could have waited and you could be putting more effort into figuring out how to fix the bigger problem that's been going on for five months. Are you going to fix the lag, or faff around some more? default smiley (d)

Same has been happening for me! Having to reload the mare's page again and then deal with another load of lag is a real pain default smiley :@
