Ephemeral Breeds: Season 2 Is Starting on 29th April 2026

Following the first season of Ephemeral Breeds, the team has taken the time to analyse your extensive feedback and would like to thank you for it.

We were thinking of ways to improve the experience for Season 2 while our Ambassadors were choosing the next breed to be bred.

So, we have loads of good news for you. The adorable Welsh ponies are making their debut, and they're bringing a whole host of adjustments with them!

Less of a Last-Minute Rush, More Fun Throughout!

In Season 1, players at the top of the ephemeral horse ranking saw other players catch up with them or even overtake them after these other players waited until the last few days to make their move.

To minimize the incentive to do a last-minute rush, you'll earn more ephemeral ageing points when your ephemeral horses wake up if you use these ageing points regularly throughout the season rather than using them all at once at the end of the event.

This adjustment to how fast ephemeral ageing points are earned will also prevent the sharp drop experienced in the middle and at the end of last season.

We have also reduced the increase in genetic potential for horses on sale each day. Once again, this is to encourage players who breed their horses regularly.

This means everyone will be able to enjoy Season 2 at their own pace and without any pressure.

A Bit More User-Friendly

A few small adjustments have been made to make the event more user-friendly. Here are a few of them:

• To begin with, some players would sometimes accidentally click the donate a horse to Ow action instead of initiating breeding.
• To prevent this, the banner for donating to Ow has been closed by default for ephemeral horses. (This change doesn't apply to horses in your classic game.) There's less risk of losing your ponies due to carelessness!
• In contrast to this safeguard against inadvertent clicking, it has been made easier to access the detailed season ranking. This will let you easily keep track of your opponents' progress in the competition. This information will also remain available to all players for several days after the end of the season. With these changes (amongst others), everything is set for your breeding farm to thrive!

Items and Specialties Suited to Welsh Ponies

• Black Market items that can be used on ephemeral horses will change each season. This time, you'll be able to use your Achilles' Heels and Chronos' Timers to train your protégés, as well as Fertility Wands and Zeus' Lightning Bolts to breed them. Ephemeral Welsh Ponies will also be given a new background to highlight them.
• Furthermore, the specialty of these adorable ponies has been adjusted to "classic," which is better suited to their abilities than the "western" specialty of Appaloosas.
• There are new challenges for you on your way to the top, but you'll be well equipped!

New Rewards to Unlock

A new Season Pass will be available for you to get free gifts.

For the most enthusiastic amongst you, the Season Key will unlock even more surprises. This includes a Divine horse of your choice from an existing series... Place your bets on which one will be available this season!

How about a sneak peek at the rest of the rewards? It will be possible to get a new tack item for Altaïr, the legendary horse... But we'll let you discover the other surprises for yourselves.

And if you're aiming for a place in the player ranking, remember that the competition will be fierce for the top thresholds, because everyone will most likely want to get their hands on the perks and the passes they offer!

We'd also like to remind you that reaching a threshold at the end of the season not only earns you the rewards for that threshold, but also all the rewards for the lower thresholds! This means there's a huge jackpot in store for the best breeders of Welsh ponies... So, good luck to everyone in this new season!
