Hi!

I opened 3 GFs, and I've got 41 fragments. So it's REALLY expensive. default smiley :s
If you get 15 fragments per GFs... you need to open "just" 67 Fleeces, to get Mercury by fragments. If you use passes, it means 13.400 passes.
Ehhm... good luck? default smiley (8)
Re: Mercury:

I got him on Int in my 5th GF. There are also other players on Int who have reported getting him in their 4th or 6th GF. However, there are also players who have reported spending more than 14 000 passes to fill his meter. On this server, I went broke and failed to get him.

Also, Re: the next event:

Info Sheet:

The new divine:
Click to display
Profile:
Name: Kigurumi
Series: Japanese divine
Item: Festive chest (90p)/lottery draw prize
Perk: drops a TC every 65-70 ageings (2 months - 2 months and 1 weeks)
Other drops (in order from most common to rarest):
-Equus in amounts (50, 100, 200)
-Apple seeds in amounts (15, 20, 30, 35, 40, 45)
-assortment of 2** tack (most common colours are pink and green. However, all the other colours are also available as prizes)
-Oats in amounts (50, 100, 150)
-Flax in amounts (10, 15)
-APs in amounts (5, 10)
-1× TC
*there may be additional amounts of the above drops available, with the exception of 1× TC*

Cost:
Kigurumi price calculations
No. Festive chests needed for 1× cycle: 21
Price for 1 full cycle: 1890 passes

Without the multiplier:
Number of fragments per chest cycle: 118 fragments
No. cycles needed to fill the meter: 8 full cycles + 3 chests min. to 19 chests max, depending on your luck
Cost to fill the meter: 15390-16830 passes (171-187 chests)

With the 4× multiplier:
Number of fragments per chest cycle: 472 fragments
No. cycles needed to fill the meter: 2 full cycles + 1 chest min to 15 chests max, depending on your luck.
Cost to fill the meter: 3870-5130 passes (43-57 chests)

Notes:
-Kigurumi gave me a TC 22 ageings after I got him. However, it's no guarantee that he'd do the same for you. I only added this to show that his drop rate may have extreme values (times where he drops an item really quickly and times when he takes really long to drop an item/outlying values that appear far away from the line of best fit).

-How I got the above values
First I found out how many full cycles you will HAVE to do and multiplied that by the cost for a full cycle.
(1 full cycle = 21 chests =21×90 passes =1890 passes per full cycle.)

Then to find the minimum amount of chests needed to fill the rest of the meter, I assumed that you would immediately find the max amount of fragments in each chest that you buy in descending order, taking into account that each fragment prize will be removed after you find it. I also assumed that you would not find any non-fragment prizes. Of course, I also took into account the fragment multipliers when I made these calculations. This then gave me the min pass value that was needed to fill the meter.

Then to find the max number of chests needed, I assumed that you would find all the non-fragment prizes first (a total of 12 non-fragment prizes are in the chest, which means that I added 12×90 passes =1080 passes to the price). Then, for the fragments, I added the fragment prizes from lowest to highest until there was enough fragments to fill the meter, taking into account that each prize gets removed after you find it. Every prize that I added represents 1 chest (90 passes). Of course, I also took into account the fragment multiplier when doing this. This gave me the max price value.

Great challenge/festivities
Click to display
The great challenge

-You can complete the same task several times over until you get to 100 horseshoes. You don't need to dehorn your precious unis or dewing your peggys.

- You will not get the extra horseshoes if you collect more than 100 horseshoes in one day (eg by dewinging a peggy ×2 and dehorn a uni you should get (2×35 horseshoes + 50 horseshoes = 120 horseshoes, but you only get 100 horseshoes). You get capped at 100 horseshoes per day so you lose the extra horseshoes if you collect more than 100 horseshoes.

-Completing the extra objective will get you lottery tickets. This is very helpful for the first draw of the lottery itself, so do as many of the extra objectives as you can. However, these objectives are chosen randomly so you may be asked to dehorn a uni etc, which is probably something that you don't want to do. For these, you could buy a horse from the sales and dehorn/dewing/etc that horse instead of your own horses. Also remember that nobody is forcing you to complete the objective, so if you don't want to do it then just don't do it. I mean, these are brutal objectives to start with..

-You can gain fragment multipliers by completing your objectives/filling the horseshoe meter. The multipliers are prizes, where the highest achievable multiplier is 4× more fragments. Also, the community objectives just unlock more lottery draws per day so if you don't do your great challenge objectives then don't expect to get a fragment multiplier.

The festivities (AKA the Lottery):

How to get tickets:

-The first thing that you want to do here is make sure that you've got at least 5 friends who are active players. Why? Because you are allowed to send 5 requests for lottery tickets to your friends so your friends can give you extra tickets. Each request costs 200eq. In a similar fashion, your friends can request lottery tickets and you can send them tickets. You can do this every lottery draw.

-You can buy lottery tickets, but every time you buy a ticket, price of the ticket will increase starting from 200eq. The best thing to here would be to buy tickets in low amounts to avoid taking a massive hit to your equus reserve. Also, the price of the tickets reset after every draw, so you can buy another ticket for 200eq again after each draw. Hence why I would recommend buying the tickets in small amounts each draw to avoid going broke.

-You can win tickets from the lottery draws too.

-You can find lottery ticket UFOs when you refresh your page. I found a maximum of 2 tickets in one draw.

-You can win 2 × 1 ticket when your horses place first in a competition. You get 1 ticket per win.

-You can win a ticket every time you purchase a BMI with passes. Although, the number of tickets that you get doesn't change according to the BMI that you purchased. You only get 1 ticket per BMI, whether it's a nyx pack or an H. blanket, so I would recommend buying H. blankets if you want to go that route. Also, you can do this unlimited times and keep getting tickets every time you buy a BMI with passes.

Misc.
-All your tickets that you have at the time that a lottery draw takes place get used up in that draw. This means that lottery tickets don't carry over from draw to draw, unless you win extra lottery tickets from the previous draw. (And not having tickets during a draw/not participating in the draw means that you have less chances to win the divine)

-You may need to wake up at ungodly hours if you want to participate in every draw. This promo takes a lot of effort/maintenance if you want to participate in all the draws. Especially if you have unlocked the community objective to get 4 draws per day (1 draw every 6 hours).

-The only other way to win the divine is to fill his fragment meter by buying the festive chest. There isn't much of a luck aspect for winning the divine in this promo, besides for the luck needed to get him in the lottery draw itself.

-Small amounts of fragments (10×; 20×; 30×) are prizes in the draws.

-It is best to save all your clovers until after the last draw takes place because having more clovers allows you to buy items/BMIs of a higher value. The clover shop will remain open for a while afterwards so that you can make your purchases.

-It is possible to win BMIs from the lottery draws, however, it is highly unlikely to be good BMIs when it happens. The best BMI that I got from the draw was a P. Stroke.

-Clovers can be won from tickets in the amounts: (5×; 10×; 15×; 20×; 25×; and 30×). Or at least those are the amounts that I won. There may be additional amounts that can be won, however, it probably won't be much more than the above amounts.

-The price of an item in the Clover shop will double after every time you buy that specific item again.

-Prizes range from 30× fragments for 10× clovers to 1× Themis Scale for 700× clovers.

-You will be reimbursed 200eq per ticket that is leftover from the last draw.

TIP: If you're going for the divine, then it would be a good idea to wait for the festivities/lottery to start BEFORE you open the festive chest. Remember, each item that you buy with passes (during the lottery) will award you with a lottery ticket. So every time you buy the festive chest during the lottery, you will get a free ticket. (You're probably going to need at least 21 chests, so that means that you'll get at least 21 tickets.) And you should also wait until just before the last lottery draw to buy the chest because by then, you'll know exactly how many fragments you still need to collect. This will minimize the number of chests that you will still need to open (because you've already collected most of the fragments that you can from the promo, excluding those that you can buy with clovers) and reduce your chances of having extra leftover fragments after the promo. And the bonus is that you get more free tickets for that last draw.

Thank you @DyMistress for your help with the calculations and for the tip! Both are greatly appreciated! And thank you to @sandrasmk for adding a few more points to the list! default smiley :)

Also, the next event is currently in testing. It has TERRIBLE rewards. I'll try to post/repost a few screenshots tomorrow if i don't forget.

Okay, here are the screenshots (taken from Nalu93's post on Int):

The event, prizes, jackpot and divine:
Click to display

The new item gives a terrible +2 bonus to all skills.

The item makes your horse's mane appear plaited. However, it does nothing to your horse's tail and to your horse's forlock. So your horse will still have an unplaited forlock hanging over it's face, which does not look right at all because the rest of your horse's mane has tiny plaits in it. Also, the plaits in the mane resemble the plaits of a competition horse. They don't have those weird bobs at the end like in the picture.

And the divine offers a bonus pack. He's found on lvl 7 of the TC.

I'm assuming this is a BMi that gets added in ADDITION to all current bonuses - whereas all recent customisation items have been coats, which you can't have more than 1 of on any single horse.
If the bonus had been made too high, then the 10 Prix comps would have become a lottery - whoever has a Button Plaiting would win... So setting the bonus low keeps the Prix competitive...
Well that's my theory...default smiley xd

Surely if this new bonus item changes the horse's appearance, then it's instead of a special coat, rather than in addition to it - thus worse than a GA, VA, etc.. Even if it's like the other 5 bonuses, it's worse than Spurs, etc, so not convinced it has much impact, other than a single GP run.

All in all, a poor top prize.

Here's info taken from Asper's post (Int), originally taken from the forum post by an admin on preprod:

"New Item: Button Plating

This is a brand new customization item!

When I receive this item, my horse receives:

· A mane with button-braided adapted to its morphology and color coat

· A competition bonus (+2 on every skills)

*Other customization items are planned to compliment the Button Plating!

Restrictions:

· Can only be placed on a horse that is 18 months old or older

· Cannot be placed on a special horse

· Cannot be placed on a donkey

· Cannot cumulate with special coat items that change the whole coat

· Can cumulate with customization items that change only a part of the coat AND don't change the mane (only Iris's coat for the moment, but there will be other ones in the future)

· Cannot be exchanged"

Beware that the item will replace GAs, VAs, 5th elements, etc. Although it can be used with MB.

Yes but also no. It doesn't work with 99% of the special coats that are currently available. It can only work with the iris coat and nothing else so far. So this item is almost useless for now.

On a slightly unrelated note,
the new maintenance has added loads of new features, can someone explain them to me?
Also, I think it's the

lottery
next and if it is, how does it work? Despite playing before, I've never actually played during one of these and would appreciate someone explaining it to me!
Retired breeder wrote:

the new maintenance has added loads of new features, can someone explain them to me?

So the 2 main features that were added are 1 the notification centre and 2 detailed breeding mode.

Detailed breeding mode is only available to pegasus/VIP players. It allows you to switch the way you view your horses by using a button to toggle between the standard view (what you see now, AKA classical mode) and the detailed view that makes the page look like the sales page (meaning that you can view which BMIs/companions etc are on which horses.) It's also useful if you are a breeder and you want to put several horses up for sale at the same price based on their gp, blup or skills because you can now view that directly from your breeding farms instead of having to check each of your horses' pages.

The notification centre is a replacement for the news tabs in your office and your EC. Your notifications will no longer appear in those tabs, from now on they will only appear in your NC. Also, the news tabs in your office and your EC are going to be removed, so if you intend to use an adblock app to make the NC transparent, you will no longer be able to view your notifications at all. And there is a link to the NC in your office, but that link is not permanent. It will be removed in a month's time.

If you click on the bell icon, you can view your notifications. You can also mark them all as read simultaneously without having to actually go to the NC or refresh your page. However, if you are using an outdated version of chrome then you may need to refresh your page to mark all the notifications as read. Or at least that's what I found during testing.
If you go to the NC (by clicking on a notification), you can switch between which notifications you want to view by changing the category using the drop down menu at the top of the NC.

Howrse is currently working to add filters for the NC. However, they may only arrive in a few month's time considering that testers only received a PM about this a few days ago and the filters are not currently being tested.

Also, some PM notifications are going to be changed to appear only in the NC. I'm talking specifically about those annoying repetitive event PM notifications.... I'm not sure if they added it yet, but you will soon be able to mark them as read from the page that you're on instead of having to go to your mailbox and into the PM just to view them and then make your way back to whatever page you were on to continue what you were doing.

As for the next event, read my post a few posts above.

They're in level 5 (lower level than some other divines), I got all 4, the first 3 with 1000 passes, then the last with fragments. The fragments are pretty good, took me 800 passes to fill the metre. Plus, as the above comment says, you can breed each one to get another. If you have less than 1000 passes there's always a chance you wont get any, but it is your choice.

I am so glad you asked this, and thank you to all who answered. I wasn't going to bother - in all my many, many years here, I had never won a Divine in a TC before, and fragments recently have been insulting. But this promo is so generous! Very happy to have collected them so cheaply. default smiley :-))

Notes:
-Howrse did not allow us to test the divine's drop rate, however, the rest of the divine's drops were the same as the rest of the Japanese divines.

-I didn't include the 1× and 2× multipliers for the last cost category because you will have to collect all the multipliers in order to collect all the fragments from the promo, which is completely possible without spending passes.

TIPS:
-Make sure that your click meter doesn't fill up all the way. If it does, then it will stop regenerating clicks and you will be wasting the time in which it could potentially regenerate new clicks.

- Read BEFORE you click! Every time you unlock a new pinãta, you may want to check the objectives that come with your pinãta BEFORE you use up clicks on that piñata. For example, you could have an objective that increases the amount of points that each click is worth. And if you just start clicking your piñata immediately without checking your objectives and seeing that reward, then you may end up using clicks that are worth less points when instead you could have just completed the objective and used those same clicks that would then be worth more points.

-If you can't do an objective, then just donate a low level BMI (eg A. Lyre) to Ow. That would have the same effect as completing the objective and you will still get the reward.

-Every time you fill the click meter for a piñata, you need to collect your earnings before you can move on. So if you're stuck on a pinãta after you filled it's meter then it's probably because you haven't collected your earnings.

-You can only unlock 1 piñata at a time in the order that they are given. The rest of the piñatas' objectives and click meters will not be accessible until you have finished the previous piñata's click meter and collected your earnings.

-You cannot go back to complete objectives that you skipped after you move on to the next piñata. So I would suggest that you do the objectives that you get with your piñata ASAP because you will not be able to collect the reward that the objective offers after you move on to the next pinãta.

-You can help your friends out once per day by clicking on their pinãta through your piñata page (if they request help). You can also request help yourself. The amount of requests that you can make per day depends on how many objectives you have completed to earn more requests per day. If you don't have friends, then I recommend posting in the 'find a friend' forum to help you find friends.

-You cannot replay the promo once you complete it.

-When an objective asks you to spend an AP on a horse that is 15y old, then you need to spend an AP on a horse that is EXACTLY 15y old. If you age a horse who is 15y Xm old or older/younger then you won't complete the objective. Or you can just use a BMI.

-The promo offers you a free divine falabella as a final prize! This is a rare opportunity nowadays so why not take advantage of it and go for the fala? He's free after all default smiley :)

-There's no community piñata for this event.

-This promo CAN be completed without the use of passes.

I would like to thank Nalu93 (Int) for helping me with the average cost of the divine. default smiley :)

That aside, the prize list for the event was updated (you'll probably need to open this image in a new tab):
