Main and mini promo Click to display Great Challenge The concept is the same as usual: during the challenge, players collect horseshoes by completing objectives. VIPs can try to find the new divine horse Aengus in the Golden Fleece during the Challenge phase or they can wait until the Festivities. When the Festivities start, there's a Heart Battle and the divine horse can be found by everyone in the Golden Fleece. Otherwise, there haven't been many changes from last time. Great Challenge Phase Divine Dust - The more horseshoes you collect, the more Divine Dust you will earn in the Golden Fleece during the Festivities. [NEW] Divine dust in the Luck item From now on, instead of the reserved sales safety net, you get divine dust in the luck item. VIPs don’t have to wait for the start of the Festivities anymore, they can get divine dust from the start, and the divine dust collected during the Challenge phase stays when the Festivities start. Special offers: The more horseshoes a player collects during the Challenge phase, the more interesting it will be for them to open luck items. Instead of the Open X items to get 1 for free, the special offers now multiply the divine dust you find in a luck item, so that you progress really fast if you have reached the most interesting offers by collecting 156 horseshoes. VIPs benefit from these special offers as soon as they have unlocked them (and don’t have to wait for the Festivities phase anymore) Main new divine Click to display Aengus is one of the Celtic horses.Find all 5 Oghamic letters from their prediction by using their powers of divination every day. There are 3 choices when you catch a UFO: 1) Keep the gift for yourself and lose points 2) Send the gift back to a random player and win points NOTE: When you choose one of these two first options, you can use bonus items (see below) that give you some bonus points in addition to the point in the UFO. 3) Spend Equus to replace the UFO with another one, be careful though... this replacement prize could be better or worse! NOTE: The price grows each time you use that option The price is re-initialized at the beginning of the next session The more the UFO content is valuable, the more points you win if you resend it or lose if you keep it for yourself. You can’t see new UFO's until you make your choice. Bonus Items Bonus points depend on the number of bonus items selected for the same UFO: If Bonus items selected = 1 then Bonus Points = 8 If Bonus items selected = 2 then Bonus Points = 12 If Bonus items selected = 3 then Bonus Points = 14 If Bonus items selected = 4 then Bonus Points = 15 How to obtain them? winning competitions with a horse being helped by friends receiving them with the participation in the Great Challenge Several bonuses can be used with the same UFO, yet the number of bonus points given by each bonus item is lower. Click to display Just to say, the 9 krama applies to both the obectives and using the divines. So it seems like those with poor krama will not be getting passes through this new system.

Click to display Many thanks for that Eleyii, most helpful . Is there any news about benefits of using Hrímfaxi and/or Skínfaxi as per this info from Howrse? "Since it’s the Night/Day Mazes, the guardian horses have changed. (We suggest trying the Mythological divines that are related to the Night and Day.)" |
Click to display With Hrimfaxi or Skinfaxi you can pass all obstacles, with other horses you may need to switch for specific obstacles
|
//Broomie
Click to display Hrimfaxi and Skinfaxi can use all the short cuts and get through all obstacle, means you basically don't need to change horses in order to pass a shortcut Hrimfaxi functions as the "joker" in the night themed mazes while Skinfaxi should be used for the day themed ones!

@ Eleyii and Sarilith - many thanks, that is very useful information .

I'm currently a member testing out the UK Howrse Tester Server and I can sure tell you this big change is actually fun.
I see the concerns with pass horses having their role changed but the ranking is actually really fun! I'm sure you guys will like it. c: Click to display

That still looks awful to me to be honest.
|
Totally agree - darn awful looking divine, little thought put onto the design and as it grows it gets distorted and gross looking - They could have mage a fantastic Pegasus that the more horses killed the more feathers are added to its wings. I often wonder why they don't ask the community to design such Divines as we have some great players producing wonderful coats.

I often wonder why they don't ask the community to design such Divines as we have some great players producing wonderful coats. Actually.. Click to display Yggdrasil makes far more sense than a feathered pegasus. It's the world tree, his branches reaching far into the heavens and his roots far into the underworld, combining the nine worlds together. It's a symbol of birth, being and becoming. A sign of death and rebirth, thus representing immortality itself. Horses are born, live their life and die, feeding the roots of the mighty tree. Pegasos is basically just it, a winged horse. Born by Medusa and ridden by Bellerophon in the battle against the Chimera. A symbol of wisdom and poetry. Owlient did make a good job when they chose the tree (drasill by the way means "horse" so it also fits the theme). Yes, they could have designed a better looking one but the idea fits perfect.

Do these bonuses still apply to this one, or not? Or were they removed entirely at some point? I've read through a load of pages of this topic and didn't find anything about them and wanted to check.

@famousfive21
Click to display They have been changed long ago or are gone. Like Huanglong gives now 10% more equus from competition wins instead of 10 additional horseshoes every time he wins a comp. Or Midas gives no longer 50 horseshoes at the beginning of a GC, just the other two perks we still have. The GC has changed as well, it's no longer as the old one where you could collect horse shoes by entering competitions and win these.
