Mare gives lower GP foals the more she breeds?

Hi all,

I have noticed that one of my mare who breeds with the exact same stallion (both 100% blupped) produce foals that lower in GP the more coverings she does?

Is this a thing or it it just unlucky? Are there different factors that contribute to this? Because it makes me just want to have 1 foal that would be the best GP which feels pointless?

Thanks for any advice!

Can you send me the link for the two horses.
I've never had this problem before though but sometimes if the gp gap is too large the top gp parent wil give birth to a lower gp foal.

I just checked.
It's the gp gap.

Hi,

This effect will likely be due to chance.

Every time two horses breed together, the GP is calculated as (approximately) the average GP of the parents plus a little bit that's more randomly calculated. This "little bit" scales - the closer to the maximum GP on the server you are, the smaller the "little bit" is. You'll find your GP is increasing in bigger jumps when you're at a lower GP.

The little bit can take on a range of different values, but all in the same approximate ballpark. Unfortunately, you've just had some bad luck on this mare, and the little bit extra has happened to go down each time. This is not an in-built feature, though, and isn't always the case.

Hope this helps!
