[Event] Recipes: Let’s bake some cakes!

Recipes: Cakes

Let’s welcome a new version of the "Merge" event: the Recipes! Combine ingredients to create delicious pastries, cakes and win prizes.

This event will end on 14/09/2026 14:00.

Brick Horse will be available until 15/09/2026 14:00.

These times match the time zone chosen on your account.

New!

What's changing for this event:
➞ New Experience (XP) system linked to the ingredients merged.
➞ New reward gauge that increases with XP won by merging elements.
➞ The Jackpot won’t be won by merging two elements. You will need to fill out the gauge.

The logic behind the merge is also slightly different:
➞ Merging two similar ingredients can offer a reward.
➞ Merging two different ingredients can offer a new ingredient.

I'm slightly confused about how to fill the meter and get Fairy Cake... Are we meant to merge to get the highest number possible, or would it be better to systematically earn the less useful prizes to get more experience points from new combinations? Would playing it in a similar way to the previous merge events be wrong for this one?

Every merge will earn XP points. So the best way to handle this event is to merge to items you want and worry about the XP points nearer to the end of the event.

This used to be one of my favorites but its ranking ( my personal ranking ) has slipped several placings.

Huh?! This used to be a straightforward event with decent prizes. Why overcomplicate it? default smiley (n)

If it wasn't for Wingman's tips I wouldn't have the foggiest idea what's going on. So thank you Wingman. default smiley (l)

I miss the old version of this already. Yes, the old version took forever to merge the higher elements and space got a bit tight when you were going for the higher gifts but at least it was logical (two L6 gave you a L7 for example), and you could reasonably plan ahead as it listed the combinations required for each gift beforehand. I'm completely lost on this one, if it wasn't for the extra info given here I wouldn't understand which combos were required for the gift I want until it was too late to be useful (thank you, Wingman, you're a life saver). It's fairly poor when you have to "cheat" just to figure out how to get a certain level element.

I'm trying to keep an open mind, and who knows maybe I'll end the event enjoying it, but so far I'm more confused and frustrated than anything.

I don't hate the energy system. You can get jackpot and a few prizes along the way too. I just think the prizes are a bit lackluster. Higher costs for better prizes would've been more exciting.

Here is what I am doing so you may want to see if it helps you.

First merge the original ingredients to get as many of those the 6 items that are shaded in my post above. Do that as many times as possible as you need those 6 to get anything decent.

Once you have a few of those 6 them use the original ingredient ( ie Milk) to merge with one of those 6 items. That way you will have more control over the end result.

if you go to the history page it will show you what merges give you the best bits
so far i have found to get 60 points you need to merge2 level 9s a 7 plus 5 and a 8 plus 6
so im going for those merges to try and get the most points poss
hope this makes sensedefault smiley (7)

I think you only get 60 points for those merges, the first time you do them... 20 for the merge and a +40 bonus. After that you just get the 20 for the merge...

So, doing a different merge each time is best approach to gather bonuses. It's trying to make us collect a load of dross, if we want to amass reasonable points...default smiley :s

A terrible iteration of this event... Am close to giving it a miss...default smiley :@

yep you are rightdefault smiley :'( the tick box is in the wrong placedefault smiley (n)
you cant see what level the merger has createddefault smiley :@ which donst help chose which you want
and some of the mergers are only worth 5 points so without the first time of chosing without getting the bonus points arnt worth the waste of mergers
if any of this makes sense
its such a confusing game not sure i wont to waste my time plying itdefault smiley :(

I’m so glad it’s not just me who is confused. Normally I thought you can collect and save up the merges to the top one, this just give me random things or gift items, and not ones I would normally collect as I’d try to merge up and get better one.
Not a fan of the changes default smiley (n)
