Roughly what are the odds on achieving smoke? I’ve spent 5,000 passes and the bar is half full, wasn’t anywhere this bad with supernova

Loving these new divine designs. Embers, Supernova and Smoke are so pretty, and a fresh change after, ahem… the Donkey & Jenny direction. Looking forward to seeing where their series’ go.

I've opened a few and gotten approx. 18 fragments per Crown.
If that holds, at 170 passes per Crown, you're looking at over 9,000 passes.

But, there are fragments available through completing daily objectives, which will bring the overall cost down.

I'm going to hold on a little while I think, and go for Crowns closer to the end.

At this stage in the promo, you should definitely give riders only what they really want. If you don't have the right equipment, let your riders wait until it comes into stock. Make compromises at the very end if necessary, but not yet. Compromising too early means getting fewer tokens now - and possibly using up items that future riders are looking for, so getting fewer tokens later, too.

Defo what SZ said above... in addition to this, you could make the missing tack (up to 3 pieces a day), or if really desperate, you could buy the tack for a few passes.

When you have none of a particular item in your inventory, a little round blue icon with crossed white tools will appear next to the greyed out item. Click on this and it will tell you what is required to make the missing item. It is usually different for each type of item...default smiley (y)

At what stage should I start making tack with my own items? I have over three riders who all want the same tack but I have not been given any of this tack for several days now... I don't want to end up wasting my items, but I don't want to leave it all to the last minute and not be able to craft enough.

No hard and fast rule here... but ideally leave it a day or two to see if you collect the items organically. However you can only make 3 items a day so you don't want to have too big a backlog by the last weekend. If I have plenty of the item requested, say carrots... then I make the item straight away, but if it is say 5x 3* W/Saddle, then I hold off a while...default smiley (y)

That's a pity as I have lots of riders wanting them. I remember from previous versions that you could influence the tack you got by doing different competitions. Guess that's all changed now.
Thanks for the info

Do keep in mind over these last few days that riders will still pay for the wrong tack, they just pay less than normal

Is it worth going for Smoke fragments in the shop? What would be the best thing to buy if not?

in my opinion, depends on how many fragments you already have from daily challenges, luck items, etc. I bought "fragment" once and got 60 of them out of it, so assuming it's not randomized and you always get 60 fragments per purchase, you'd need about 25,500 something coins to purchase 600 fragments (as the price doubles with every purchase). please correct me if I'm wrong though ^^

I personally went for Nyx pack and conductor coat (since I like the coat and plan on collecting as many special coats as possible), and will probably go for DS medallion or Tyche's crown (or both) next, as I still have over 10 riders waiting and over 700 coins to spend atm.

It also depends what you're focusing on in the game. Breeding champions? Nyx's pack, heel, stroke, etc. Collecting coats? Medallion, any of the spirits, hiking journal, inkwells, etc. there's no right answer to what you should purchase, but do keep in mind the cost of the prize doubles every time, so at first 25, 50, 100 coins for 60 fragments doesn't seem a lot, but eventually you'll start paying over 12k coins for those fragments which is kind of overpriced imo.

There will have been 300 frags available from Objectives, by Tuesday.
Then, realistically (without spending passes) there are 420 (7x60) frags available using coins (3175 - with the next 60 costing +3200 coins).
So, lets say a total of 720 available for free... leaving 280 to find in T/crowns.

You could prob buy a t/crown (or 2) with remaining coins, so depending on the t/crown drop rate, you can work out how many you will need and how much it will cost, to get Smoke...

If anyone knows how many frags are in each T/Crown then please share below...default smiley :-))default smiley (y)

If you don't go for Smoke then just pick the BMis that suit your game... there's no right or wrong answer, and is individual choice...default smiley (y)

Just to add to this... If you use the wrong tack of the same discipline, you will get more coins than using any old tack... So for example if the customer asks for yellow cowboy shirt and you give the grey one then you'll get about half of that portion of coins, but if you gave say, a dressage jacket you would only get 2 or 3 coins...

Best to leave this sort of trading till the very last hour of the game, when you have all tack acquired and the last customers are lined up... You don't want to give away tack and then have a new customer arrive who then needs that tack...default smiley xddefault smiley (h)
