This was probably one of my least favourite events - I am actually pretty relieved it is over.

The quicker blupping was quite satisfying at first, but it got quite repetitive quickly and I definitely found fewer and fewer EAPs as the event progressed, which made it less enjoyable. For the first few days the GP of the horses in the sales didn't increase, which was also annoying (although I probably should have double-checked before buying anyway).

I didn't like having to spend tons of resources (food, tack, etc.) on horses that disappear (with said tack) to complete the daily objectives. I also thought it was a bit too time consuming - I barely have time to look after my divines and my own breeding project is on hold, but I'd prefer to spend time working on horses I actually get to keep!

The non-paid prizes were really good, but I'm not sure whether I want to play this event in the future (mostly due to the amount of time and resources it took).

To add to my thoughts, I haven't received my Heritage Horse yet, despite having bred more than 5 foals myself. I can see that some other players already have theirs, so I'm hoping it's just a bug...

If you did not receive your heritage horse yet, despite having bred more than 5 horses by yourself, please send in a ticket to support default smiley :)

I would have been cool to have a different spotted horse breed ex. Norkier with a different model.
I'll point out my personal positives because you're going to receive more cons that pros. With saying that, I agree mostly with the cons people will point out about this event.

- Easy to progress without passes ( I made it to 150th doing bare minimum, but this server size is small in compassion to your bigger servers so that's why I reached that rank )
- For those that put in the effort the prize pass pot seemed fairly generous
- Getting 20 wins was quick and easy
- I am happy with the free gifts I won, I'll never yap about freebies

You can only learn from here, I'm sure next time it rolls around things will be taken into consideration.

My useless appy divine isn't on this server either and I definitely bred more than 5 horses here too.

0/10. Will not play again. No reason to bother with this cash grab event if you can't even award the promised prizes default smiley (li)

I'm actually sad for having spent so many passes in the beginning of the event on just APs. Clearly buying the ready blup was the strategy which makes this event very icky. I was excited for something new but this was a chore more than anything.

This is a bug and has shown up on several servers. I didn't get a PM or ranking or the Heritage Appy.

I sent in a ticket and suggest you do so also.

I have mixed feelings about this event.

Pros:
- The free prizes were nice, and most were actually useful for the average player’s game. It makes a nice change from the plethora of companions, horseshoe bonuses, and black market tack items we usually get in events.
- I really enjoyed the amount of free passes on offer. I don’t think Howrse has ever offered such a high volume in such a short timespan before in the ten plus years I’ve been playing. For me at least, passes are a lot more valuable than most of the BMIs and other prizes offered in events these days.
- I liked having a separate AP system and not having to dip into my normal stack.
- It was very easy to complete the daily objectives and the seasonal objectives to gather the full 4000 horseshoes, and we had several days of leeway if we didn’t have time to complete the objectives every single day.

Cons:
- The season pass was only available to purchase with real money. If it was available as a pass purchase, I would’ve bought it in a heartbeat.
- The event was incredibly time consuming. Once I’d completed it each day, I didn’t have the energy or time to take care of most of my normal horses or properly engage with the rest of the game as usual.
- The GP in the sales increasing by 15 points each day was far too high and impossible to keep up with or overtake significantly unless spending passes and/or hoarding APs to mass BLUP and breed in the last few days, which defeated the point of having a GP race, I feel. Climbing the rankings was more about strategy than traditional blupping. Completing more blups didn’t guarantee you a higher ranking than the players who completed far less blups.
- There was a glitch with the breeding farm when it had horses sorted by age. The game would skip over horses if you clicked through their pages one by one for the first time after the daily update.
- The design of the Ephemeral horses being an already available standard breed coat was low effort and a bit boring. Little was done to make them special or stand out in any way.
- The game mode asked players to invest a lot of resources into horses we weren’t allowed to keep. Letting us keep our final horse but gelding it and calling it a divine/special horse is a bit cheeky, I feel. It’s just an immortal gelded foundie. It doesn’t even have a special coat or high skills.

I finished 13th overall without spending any real money or any passes, and I didn’t use BMIs. The highest ranking I achieved was 11th. I had enough APs left over at the end that I could’ve done a couple more BLUPs to obtain the Fertility Wand privilege, but as I’m only playing casually and haven’t done much breeding or blupping recently, I thought I’d leave it so someone else who will actually use the prize can take advantage of it.

I genuinely did not see the point of this event. It felt less like a limited-time activity and more like a recycled tutorial, where we repeated basic horse-care tasks without even getting to keep the horses at the end. There was nothing about it that felt new, exciting, or worthy of being called an event.

The gameplay was repetitive and offered little sense of progression or achievement. Most of the rewards that actually felt worthwhile were locked behind a paywall, which made the event feel heavily pay-to-win. The top free-to-play reward of 500 passes did not feel like fair compensation for the time required.

The choice of the Appaloosa also felt uninspired. It is already a breed in the game, and there were no new graphics, mechanics, or interactions to make the event horses feel special. This made the event feel more like recycled content than something designed to introduce or celebrate a breed.

Many players also reported bugs, glitches, and lag, which reduced overall enjoyment. For an event built around daily interaction, these technical issues had a noticeable impact on the experience.

Now that the event has ended and is expected to return with different breeds, real changes must be made. Simply swapping the breed while keeping the same structure will not address the core problems. The event would benefit from new mechanics, fairer rewards for free-to-play players, and proper technical fixes. Without meaningful improvements, it will likely feel just as repetitive and unrewarding when it returns.

(This is an expanded version of the post I made in the event Forum).
