I'm a very old person, over 70, originally from Australia but I've lived in the UK for many years.
I have a lovely hubby of almost 50 years. We recently lost our gorgeous greyhound, an ex-racer, and are planning to adopt another because they are such marvellous, easy pets. Please consider adopting an older rescue who desperately needs love and security, rather than shelling out for a stupidly expensive designer puppy. It encourages puppy mills and irresponsible breeders who sell the puppies far too young, often leading to ongoing physical, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties. They need their mums for at least eight weeks. She teaches them how to behave.

RIP my beloved friend, zippy. She passed away at 8am on 21 December 2018 at a ridiculously young age due to smoking-related cancer of the mouth, tongue, throat and lungs. She is sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Please, don't smoke. She should still be here..
