TRADES

we seem to be getting a fair amount of scam reports through at the moment

please remember the rules of not doing trades outside the official routes is there to protect YOU

Admin and us as mods cannot get things back to you and by agreeing to trades such as i'll give you x item and y horse for your horse called z it puts both players in the wrong. the scammer for doing the scamming, the scammed player for going into the trade

Unfortunately in this world not everyone is honest and we do not like seeing these things happen

so to summarise
horse trades... don't do them
item trades.... use the item exchanges

don't trade horses for anything other than passes and equus.
this is for your own protection, while we do sypathise things happen if things are done how you are advised to scamming won't happen.

if someone offers you a trade please remind them that it's not allowed or send through as a pm report for us to deal with

Monty, it's not hacking.

In fact, there is no hacking on Howrse, only weak passwords/sharing of passwords.

Why do it there is simply no point, you don't get pounds, dollars or any money I think people that do that simply have no life or is addicted to the game and don't understand that you're just cheating yourself. If you want to be successful like Kassandra and Samos you don't need to cheat (you may need to buy a few passes to reach their standard of breeding and BLUPing default smiley xd). It also makes younger players upset i mean what kind of cold hearted person would make a 10 year old cry because they "really" wanted a GA i mean its not life or death you don't NEED it and there are other ways instead of scamming/ stealing from another play. if anything i think the best way of getting BMIs is by saving up the proper way and enjoying the game with your friends and becoming successful on a game that really matters to the player default smiley (ow).

scammers think twice, are there other ways of getting those horses or items default smiley (y)

I got scammed twice on a different game, and I was just like:
"Why would I care about losing items on a stupid game!"
That's always my reaction on games when I get scammed, no matter how rare or special it is.

THIS. ^

But people also need to think, when they do trades outside offcial systems. Some are smart enough to see the trick, and some are just too trusting everyone. It's not always focusing around password giving or having easy to guess password. For example - At first I used to have password like "123456" and I never got scammed. Why? Because I have never done any off-system trades and when someone offered me things like this, I never believed them.

Hackers stop hacking because you make the game unenjoyable for other players. Keep to the rules
